Concerning the straw, spider webs

My earlier post defended the possibility of the preservation of ancient organic material such as the straw depicted in one of the photographs from the site. Having heard more information about the NAMI’s discovery, I learn the site also shows evidence of visits by pilgrims. Some of those studying the site are reckoning the straw may have been brought to the site by pilgrims. Considering that straw would have also served as an insulator from the cold on the mountain, perhaps from a rustic “sleeping bag,” this seems a likely possibility. If so, spiders may have found their way to this place from the same carriage that brought the straw.
